The woods are waking up!
Same situation with midwest whitetail.
I have a half-dozen cellular trail cams setup.
Last few months I'd maybe see a squirrel every couple weeks.
Night before last I shut down the mobile feature after nearly 100 photos came flooding in.
Deer, skunks, turkeys, mink...
Anyone really happy with their pistol holster solution on their Mystery Ranch Guide Light MT frame?
I'm leaning towards something from Fury Carry Solutions but am a little concerned the Molle system will cause a Glock to annoyingly bounce too much.
Mystery Ranch is a great choice for big boys.
I bought a Selway 60 in XL last summer.
I wear 44" pants and even with a base, mid, and heavy Northface outer layer I still had belt left.
I also filled that bag/shelf with 90lbs of meat/gear and was amazed at how comfortable it was.
I was waiting for you to chime in. Scary as hell, I bet, but great story.
I frequently hunt quail near the border and have felt like I was being watched a few times. One time a guy in all black trailed me for some time. Another time I nearly tripped over an Agent who was laying under a bush...
When I was young my dad and I hunted whitetails in northern Minnesota.
It was remote, and dense, with cold cold weather, and frequently enough snow that made trudging through the woods a real chore.
Well before first light we'd walk from a small "cabin" his buddy owned on five acres to my...
Talk about being spoiled, eh?
Apply Saturday and get the "you have been drawn" email Friday. 8-)
I'll be on the north side the state for season 3.
Good luck.
WOW - great wabbit!
I think that ground you have photographed would make a nice display, with the dried tans of the pine needles, leaves, and some pine cones contrasting with the white hare.
I'd get a round from a good size pine tree and build up some "dirt" with cement or clay. Get a can of...
Thanks for the suggestion!
I called Vortex today (I do love that I can speak to a CS person in seconds!!!) and it was suggested their best turkey scope is a Viper HS 2.5-10 - which sounded great to me from a magnification perspective.
Anyone have guidance on where to buy really good scopes for shotgun?
I can't believe it is so hard to find something that resembles high quality.
I want some magnification not a red dot.
I have a Slik CF634 that I love.
Weighs a mere 2lb, packs down tiny, can range from a couple inches tall to about 5' and has held everything I set on it.
I've used it for a spotting scope, crossbow, and big dslr glass.
Extra stable when you hook your pak to the center post.
