Those running the proximity jacket, how well would you say it packs down in your pack? This last season I ran the nomad jacket thats like it, but its about a pou d heavier and doesn't pack down very well in the pack, takes up a lot of room. Looking for something similar to it but lighter and can...
I started an agricultural drone spraying business last year. It's a side business for me aside from my full time job as a firefighter, and yes I do a lot of the work myself along with a couple employees.

I use to pull the unit maps from top rut to load into Google earth for some of my escouting. I use OnX and basemap too, but I really like the satellite imagery on Google earth a little better for some detail things I look at. It seems top rut has changed their website and partnered with OnX now...
I have a speedgoat and a triumph. The speedgoat skinned and deboned an elk in the woods this year with only a couple of quick touch ups on the stone. Both knives also did several deer this past year and held an edge very well. These are the only "high end" knives that I own, I carry a case...
I'm considering this unit group for 3rd rifle this next season. If you've hunted this unit and season recently in the last few years, would you mind sending me a PM? I'd like to get some general info/feel for these units.

I have one and really enjoy it. It works well for what it is and the price point is good. I got mine from a member on here a couple years back with a stove. That being said, I don't think I would try to get one direct from the company as I've heard of issues with folks getting their orders, and...

What about in a 270? It has the 22" barrel as well and I already do some reloading with it for my son's rifle so I would already be set up for it. Can I get good accuracy out of it at the longer ranges as well as the energy needed

Man there's a FB group for everything these days lol.
As far as reason for wanting the savage, I just like the idea of how lightweight it is, the adjustable stock, the Proof carbon wrapped barrel, and the reports of very good accuracy. I don't have a huge budget now to build a fully custom...
I did see that thread and ultimately he went with the 280, but no feedback on the performance of that round through that gun. Yes I'm on a budget, but I want something accurate, deadly to 500-600 yards for large game, and somewhat lightweight for packing in. I don't want to over do it on a rifle...
Wanted to get different opinions/info from y'all on the best all around caliber for elk, deer, etc. I want to be able to shoot 500-600 yards and still have enough energy. I get a little overwhelmed looking at all the data to help me make a decision. I do plan to reload my own for this rifle and...
