    Grinder Recommendation for Elk

Very tempting for the savings so can't blame ya. Please post a follow up after you put it through a few paces/put a critter or two through it.

Solid advice and for sure on the list to add. Big fan of the setup you've got there.

    Grinder Recommendation for Elk

So took a look at LEM, signed up for their mailing list and sure enough they had a sale go live today so jumped at the opportunity for a 3/4 HP #12 Big Bite. Thank you all for the discussion and feedback, looking forward to putting a bull through to break it in.

    Grinder Recommendation for Elk

I keep seeing lots of great responses for LEM so I'll probably keep an eye out for one of those (either 3/4 hp or maybe the 1 hp) and see if a labor day sale pops up. Thanks for the feedback!

    Grinder Recommendation for Elk

Gearing up for archery season and I've been impressed by the Excalibur dehydrator I got a few months ago, getting some dehydrated meals prepped as I type this up. I noticed on their site they have a 1 HP commercial grinder on discount...

Danner Vital didn't work out need to get new boots for archery elk.

So update decided to give a few selections a try and ended up with the Crispi Nevada. Absolutely love the way they feel on my feet, took em on a half day hike and no issues whatsoever. Thanks everyone for the discussion!

Upgrade current setup or get a spotter?

Easier to work both eyes rather than just one?

Danner Vital didn't work out need to get new boots for archery elk.

I've heard a ton of good things about crispi and a few places near me carry them. First time I've heard about Scarpa but I'll check em out.

Danner Vital didn't work out need to get new boots for archery elk.

I got a pair of Danner Vital in 12 wide for this year's archery season but got my feet pretty tore up on Dog mountain, Wa on a recent hike. I was getting some discomfort in the heel/achilles area on both feet on the way up but the descent was what really stood out in terms of troubles, toes...

Upgrade current setup or get a spotter?

Thank you so much for the feedback and thoughts! I agree the buy once cry once mentality is ideal but got a ways to go before I can realistically afford alpha glass levels. Took a deeper look at the Sigs and really liked what I was seeing and couldn't beat that price. I'm already looking at a...

Upgrade current setup or get a spotter?

With both of these deals might be able to swing the two of them. Think the 9's if I'll have the spotter or the 11s?

Upgrade current setup or get a spotter?

Just took a look at them, wow that is an awesome deal for some nice glass. Thanks for the heads up!

Upgrade current setup or get a spotter?

I'm looking for some input on a potential upgrade to my current setup for an Archery Elk hunt I'll be doing this fall in North Eastern Oregon. I got a drop camp setup for this year in an area with decent terrain and some open spaces to glass. Currently running a set of Maven C3 10x50's with the...

    FNG from Oregon

Welcome to OR! I've been out here for about 3 years now and it's been a great place so far. You're not too far from me as I'm out in Beaverton. Done any hunts in OR yet?

Really enjoyed shooting my bow so far. So calming to just slow everything down and work on the progression.

    FNG from Oregon

Thanks! Bit tougher to get going initially but feel like the passion to get out there will root itself stronger with that bit of struggle up front.

    FNG from Oregon

What's going on everyone, FNG from just outside of Portland checking in. Looking to get into archery hunting for all manner of big game, probably start out with Deer or Elk. Been lurking on here for a while and reading as much as I possibly can. I come from a family where nobody ever thought of...
