I have a RMP 360 and went through the same thought process last season. I decided to get new strings and keep shooting as I'm still hitting where I aim. I know there are some nice bows on the market but I figured I'd upgrade pieces of my hunting equipment before putting the money towards a new...
Fly fishing is a lot of fun and you'll eventually find yourself wanting to tie your own flies as well. Its pretty satisfying when you catch fish on something you tied or your personal pattern you invented.
For additional information on fly-fishing watch and read anything featuring Lefty Kreh...
I used the AGC Kodiak Cub with MAX this season and found that it fit my needs, mostly tree standing hunting and spot and stock with a bow. I like the pockets to store stuff, comfortable, easy to use but I'm trying to figure out how to get it closer to my chest. I used the Badlands last year as...
After reading this forum and going through online reviews I went ahead and purchased the (LE) on amazon for use in a 3 person canvas wall tent, truck camping. We used two LE lanterns for 6 nights and a few hours each night and again in the morning. We hung them from the frame of the tent. We...
Thank you for this, I didn't think about it helping with breathing, that's a major bonus! I find that I tend to hold my breath in tense moments, not sure why but its something thats followed me with sports so I hope this will help that as well.
Great stuff mentioned above, but one thing I plan on starting 2021 will be more stretching. I've never done yoga but I know my flexibility needs to improve and so i'll be including this to my workouts.
Maui Jim's all the way. Good customer service and warranty. Lots of styles to choose from but whatever you go with get their glass lens. Yes, glass is a little bit heavier but it performs much better all around. My second choice would probably be Smith. I've had Coasta's 580 lens and they...
Thank you! I'm going to print this and giving it a go. Glad to hear y'all got on them again for the closure! Been the best duck/teal hunting I've experienced and talking with the others around sounds like the majority had the same consensus. Bring on the big ducks and specks!
If y'all have some recipes/styles let me know. We've been doing the normal bacon/cheese/pepper wrap and glazing with a jelly, sometimes stuffing with a pitted date (desert like). Try and change it up some and do stir fry, chicken fried, fajitas, nachos, breast grilled with Tony's and pot...
Not East Coast but hardwood and pinewood area here (east texas) - I usually don't make any noise until we get a good cool/cold front. When this happens in early season I usually see the bucks get a little frisky (all ages) nothing too serious just a little pep in their step. If I'm after bucks...
Like the majority have said, thermacells are great if its not windy. I find they do not get rid of the nats though. I also like to use permethrin (Sawyer Product) for treating the clothes I'll be wearing outdoors. Also use permethrin for my yard (South Louisiana).
Shoot you you can put just about everything in a tortilla and its good! Just a simple "street taco" and it's hard to beat. Always been beef tongue for us, never crossed my mind to try deer. Will need to reminder to make that extra cut this season and see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestion.
Living in south Louisiana I do more internet research. For hunting season I like to get ready by shooting my bow from different positions; one foot, on top of a trash can, one knee, draw from a kneeling position and creep around the lawnmower to rip a shot and other weird angles. For waterfowl...
I like to do the stairmaster and vary speeds starting with a warm up, increases 1-2 mins with decrease for 1-2 mins (recovery) than increase and so for 15-20mins... once I get back into decent shape I put on a weighted pack with and do the same thing. I also do this with treadmill (walking)...
Past hunting season we used the mini with Onx Maps on the iphone. Best hunt for me to relate to the temperature was in the teens-twenties and batteries seem to last for a 4 day hunt. We did keep the electrics close to body to keep them warm and turned off when we weren't moving or using. Did...
