So anything post 2012 will have DEF and each have there own issues with that. Deleting is an option but voids any warranty and some shops won’t touch it. Also the epa is cracking down on that. I’ve been told they are tracking exhaust orders online to find it. I think the Cummins 6.7 is the way...
Timex Expedition Trail has been consistent for me. I have an Apple Watch which can be nice but the battery life is bad. 1.5 days at best. I bought a Suunto core and I don’t care for it. The elevation is always wrong. Did what all the tech support information said to do to make it correct and...
I don’t use a light very much but when I do it’s red. I like the fact it’s easier for my eyes to adjust to the dark and I’m not lighting up the area I want to hunt. I have the black diamond storm. The light brightness can be adjusted. The red setting is bright and can be dimmed also
I’m a diesel technician. I work way to many hours each week. I have an extra checking account I put money into to help fund it. I have done side jobs in the past fixing trucks for guys for cash and using that for trips/gear.
I would not put dry ice in anything that Seals. I used a rtic 65 last year with ice and bone in and had plenty of room. I would use a cheap light cooler so weight doesn’t become an issue
Okay thank you. Those are the two I’ve been looking at and doing something similar to that. I have a 7mm rem mag and 300 win mag I want to do something different with. The factory breaks are decent at best.
The OR crocodile are made of Gore Tex. My pants are water resistant and coded in dwr. The boots are water resistant and I do the recommended water proofing for them. I haven’t had issues with slow creeks and small creeks. I have crossed some streams and was okay but I crossed one stream that was...
I use a havalon knife for most of the work I do on animals. I bring a benchmark fixed blade for a hard blade as back up. I’ve been making the switch to an outdoors edge replaceable blade knife also. I like it because the blade stays sharper longer and easier to replace. I like the havalon for...
I need to up grade my bag and pad so I’m curious to what people have to say. I know with a $100 bag you need to have a good sleeping pad with a higher R valve then 4.8 to be warm. My experience is going lighter which means lower r valve and having a chill that’s not wanted. From my research bags...
I use the OR Crocodile gaiters. I like the fit and design of them. Works great in creek crossings, snow and mud. I’ve used the kenetreks and didn’t like them as much but a size bigger would have helped. I’ve also heard good things about kuiu and would try them next just to have more input on it
I would say basically the same thing as everyone else. Durability goes to Kifaru and same for warmth. The ws kelvin would be great for late season cold and wind.
