Howdy! I bought a Labradar and tripod in 2020 thinking I was going to continue reloading and shooting at a high rate. As the kids came and work got busy, I have NEVER turned the thing on. It has set in a cabinet since it came, and I wanted to see if there was somebody out there who could use...
Sight I received about a year ago. Custom ordered from MBG, please see attached invoice for build details ($509 purchae price). It is the two pin model and BOTH pins are .010”. I’ve moved to a three pin or I’d be holding onto it. High quality sight that is in perfect condition! Will ship via...
Point taken on determining what bullet did what, and I wish I'd have taken some better pictures. I did not recover the ELDX as it appeared to be in some bone. Attached is all I took, which is of one of the lungs where I deemed the Barnes did the damage. You can see some "soup" in the bottom...
I'd like to thank everybody for the responses here. I wanted to update this thread as I had a unique set of circumstances play out to be able to try out both the ELDX and LRX. After all of my research, I ended up taking both bullets to the mountains because I felt they both had strong points...
I've got an elk hunt coming up in a couple of weeks, and am worried I don't have enough time to do proper load development. I've got other options on hand that will do the job, but figured I would post and see what everybody had. Any help would be appreciated!

Twist rate is 1:8. I have been looking at the Hammers, and looks like I could get by with the 134gr with that twist.
The Terminal Ascent bullet looks promising, but nobody has them in stock anywhere that I could find.
I genuinely appreciate the feedback. Hunting the "perfect bullet" is...
I also was hopeful I could put that 156 to work. Based on what I heard on the podcast, Bergers could really be a poor choice if the shot ends up being marginal (they discussed the quartering to shot). He was concerned that the bullet in that situation would not penetrate enough tissue/bone to...
Oryx are tough animals no doubt. What was the range and caliber?
My concern with the ELD-X is getting meaningful penetration through major bone under 2-300 yards. That said, there is something to be said about the shock value it brings to the table.
I appreciate the response here. At face value 127gr seems mighty light, but I have read about quite a few hunters taking elk with these with great success.
