Whatever camo brand you prefer. I have heard KUIU holds up better, but have not personally tested it yet. For sure as others have suggested, Helly Hansens or Grundens (actual raingear not their light stuff... they do make a kryptek pattern) and wear that when the rain is not letting up...
If your fishing employer has a "covid plan" in place with Alaska Dept of Commerce, then you can work right away, as commercial fishing (boats and processors) are considered critical infrastructure. Still they suggest you being quarantined (im guessing) to a boat or bunkhouse when not performing...
Also working 84hr weeks in corrections, but weeks off are in the woods or the boat, social distancing at its best! Hudson Bay tea leaves and devils club and waiting for
Spring King Salmon to open up.
Absolutley love the howa 6.5 mini.. it is a tack driver! taken quite a few blacktail with it this year. Its my go to.. super light, works well handles SE Alaska terrain just fine.. Until Barrett or Kimber make a 6.5 mini, this thing is money well spent.
Have the Badlands Exo top and bottoms, have had no issues as of yet or had to return. We'll see what next fall does to my opinion, but its lightweight and feels good.
Leupold Vx-3 (for best lightwieght option) Im also quite the fan of the (disc'd) but still available Vortex Razor HD LH (2x10x40) a couple more ounces and maybe 100ish more bucks then leupold for HD glass with monster eye relief.
