For sale is a very lightly used pair of wild rock GTX boots. I put about 10 miles on these. Too warm for me, as I prefer uninsulated boots. I will throw in a barely used container of Crispi conditioning cream. Asking $300 tyd. US only. PayPal preferred. Thanks.
I have the 400 gram primaloft wild rocks, and I have honestly been disappointed in their warmth. I think your concerns are valid, and I’d be surprised if they keep your feet warm in long sits in cold weather.

My US made Danners were the worst boots of all of my Danners, sadly. My East Ridge leaked early and got worse as time went in. Shortest life of any boot I’ve owned.

I’ve bought from multiple sources, depending on price and availability. Black OVIS, campsaver, etc. lots of good options.

That’s great to hear. I love my Thors. Exact same pair with a good many miles in rough terrain. Nothing that looks like that. Wow! Glad they took care of the problem.

Only you can answer what its worth to you. I do hate the disposable mentality of our society, and try to fix what I can when it makes sense.
I never pay MSRP for anything, so it depends on what the actual cost that you can get new ones for.
I still stand by my original thought, and that goes...
Great question. For me, it comes down to economics. I have no idea what the cost of getting boots resoled is, but if it’s half the price of new, there’s no way I’m putting that much into a pair of hard used, 4 year old boots.
Would a resole job fix the rand? If not, I’d take that into...
I have Crispis with the ABSS and Thors which don’t have the ABSS. No comparison, imo. The lack of ankle support is very noticeable. I love my Thor’s for light hiking, but if you want ankle support, I wouldn’t recommend the Thor’s.

I agree on your thought on the Thors stiffness. It’s a 4 and my Wild Rocks are a 3 but due to the ankle support in the Wild Rock, it wears like a much stiffer boot. I have no trouble in the Thors in less rigorous terrain, and there are spots where I wish it was stiffer.

So you contacted them, under warranty, and they refused to honor the warranty? I have a couple of pairs of Crispis, and I would lose my mind, if that happened.

I had Danners for years. Like everyone else has said, they just got worse and worse. My last pair were the Made in the USA Eastridge model. They leaked pretty soon after I got them.
I recently made the switch to Crispis. I have a heavyweight insulated pair and a lighter, unisulated pair. I...
