That is true, when I purchased mine (tan roughtech) it was blued steel. I do see now they have some of the same base model that are offered in black cerakote but does not specify the base steel. So now Im left wondering the same as you.
I do the above as well just try to add some variety with squat and deadlift. A lot of heavy sandbags these days which I enjoy to break away from the barbell. Dips, pull-ups of all variety’s adding weight. And core stability with kettlebells. It’s good to switch things up, whatever you lose in a...
Industrial timber lands can lend to longer open clear cut shots, or really thick re-prod in your face shots. If you call or are hunting with a caller it can get real tight. Its also so thick that you most times can hear elk moving through brush/timber and that leads me to not even like calling...
Eldm 147 factory ammo is what I use in mine and they are very consistent and tight. Gives me no reason to try anything else. I’ve also found them to be the cheapest to buy where I’m located. All my tikkas have really liked eldm or eldx.
Good luck
I had trouble getting ahold of them as well, but once they got back to me they were quick to help.
It took probably a week to hear from them in my case.
can you send me a link for your skiff? I like the look of that setup.
I have the tikka ember I really like it. threaded, fluted. if you are considering a seekins I assume the little extra for the stainless D18 barrel wont be a big deal as far as the tikka is concerned.
I just picked up a tikka ember 6.5 cm. I agree with the Hornady recommendations 140-147 Eld-m 143 eldx. I’ve personally had good luck with eldx in other rifles on game. This will be my first go with eldm bullets in the 6.5cm.
Good luck to ya
I know Im late to the game on this but I gotta know how wide that thing is. thats awesome. I don't know if my mind could put together I was looking at a blacktail in the field.
still figuring out my spots down here in The area I live now, but I was quite happy finding this guy on the 12th of October on a cut up, brushed out finger ridge adjacent to big timber. I looked like a great spot for a buck to live. I glassed him up from about only spot you could see him.
It’s...
it was real bad yesterday mid coast, felt like a good ole coastal winter blow and rain. I saw the snow level was dropping to 1200ft. Hopefully sunny days ahead after this stint.
you can pull it off no problem. this was spike camp for the three guys.
I will say I took out the factory bump stops and put some sumo springs in and the ride was much nicer, and was cheap to do.
