An alternative to the Stormy Kromer Rancher is the Wyoming Traders Yukon & McKenzie hats. Warmer, cheaper, better ear coverage and the fit actually matches the size unlike the SK. I use them both, but when it is really cold I go with the Wyoming Traders.

When it is is warm to hot out I favor the Ascent pants. Despite the lack of leg zips I am just more comfortable in the heat. The fabric seems to breathe better and the 4 way stretch and ability to add knee pads are both a bonus.
