Yeah that's what i was thinking. This was our first elk hunt ever so we really didn't know what we were doing or what to expect. Im leaning twords paying more attention to the grazing allotments for this year and just trying to stay away from those areas. -

Dumb question
That's kind of what i was wondering. I live in MI and we have a ton of porcupines and black bear (black bear is what i originally thought when i seen it). Ive hunted grouse here at home in aspen thickets 100s of times and have never seen anything like it before. -
