I don't have time to read every response on this thread but what I've found especially rifle hunting your shot distance varies greatly in the area you're hunting. Some areas antelope have a much closer "comfort" zone they will let you inside of in other areas it's much farther mostly depending...
It is pretty terrible. I live there. Very little public ground that is good habitat and the deer that are on it get shot up quick and not much for anything of size. All the numbers and quality are on private land. Deer densities are low overall in those areas
If im hunting cows there is usually a group of us and taking out the lead cow is the best way for the rest of the hunters to get a decent shot. It doesnt change anything it just takes a minute for them to decide who the new leader is
I dont care what anyone says. Moon phase is a huge factor for elk activity. But you can still call in and kill elk during a full moon it is just more difficult and they don't tend to talk much during the day and barely any at nite
Yes that means everyone who put in for a doe tag got one first choice and the remainder of tags after that went to second choice applicants. If the draw is the same you will be guaranteed doe tags if you apply for them first choice
