    Tikka dovetail dimensions

I didn't find the dimensions, but the bubble level was exactly what I was looking for. And for $40 seems like a good deal compared to what I could make on my 3d printer. Thanks for the tip!

    Tikka dovetail dimensions

I agree. But then they couldn't sell you over priced Optilock rings and bases.

    Tikka dovetail dimensions

Unfortunately no. Tikka has their own dovetail.

    Tikka dovetail dimensions

Does anyone know the dimensions of the tikke factory dovetail? I can measure the top width easily enough. I dont have the gauges to accurately measure the angle and the depth.

How does everyone pack there Leuko tape?

I just take a whole roll, I usually hunt with 2 buddies so between 3 of us, it's usually worth it.

    Drying out guywipes?

I used these this year as well. Keep a few in the same ziplock as my TP and good to go. I don't use many over the course of the week though.

Gaiters Do you use them all the time?

I love wearing mine. Only time they aren't on is when it's hot and sunny out. Cold or wet days, dew in the morning on brush, they are a great layer to have.

    insoles for Hanwags

I put a Dr. Scholls arch support set in my Alaskan GTX's, they are the red ones if they are still using the same colour scheme. I like them a lot. I have a custom set of orthotics, but are too thick to fit in them properly.

    Blisters in-between toes.

I have used body glide, foot powder and lueko tape. They all worked to prevent toe blisters for me. Only used lueko tape around my big toe when I could feel hot spots though, not all my toes.

    Fun with 3D Printers

Got inspiration from the range finder clip thread that was recently posted here https://www.rokslide.com/forums/threads/rangefinder-holder.271565/ So I printed the holder and a backer plate so I could attach with some 2M cap screws. Used some random bolts and washers to make the tab and some...

Paper maps vs apps - survey

I have brought paper maps before, but have never opened them up. I can cache maps on my phone that have every layer you could need. I bring 20000mha power pack that will charge my phone a dozen times. If you hike up a 5 mile drainage that ends in a bowl... its pretty hard to get lost. I can see...

    Questions for the sewing Gurus

Ripstop will work well pull-outs, I haven't made a stuff sack before. I got an 'outdoor use' thread for all my hunting gear that seems to hold up pretty good. You local sewing shop should have something that will suit your needs. When dealing with thinner material, Needle size depends more on the...

    Questions for the sewing Gurus

I would try winding the bobbing tighter, that should straighten out the bottom thread. If you notice extra thread coming out the bottom when you try to pull the material away after finishing a seam, turn the machine by hand until you feel the loop come the hook that rotates around the bobbin...

    DIY Bino Harness

Should probably add a bit more description on this build. The material was left over from another project. The webbing and edging was mostly pieces cut off of retired kids stuff and other gear. The clasp is made from 1/16" stainless welding wire. The mesh pockets were cut from an old storage...
