    Did it make the jump?

And if you think about it .... We've been studying it at least 50 years so it's been around at least that long. What about all of the predators and scavengers that feed off the dead infected ungulates? They're going to be spreading it around through feces, etc. The prions that cause it are going...

    Did it make the jump?

Winter feeding programs for elk and deer are pointed at for potential spreaders of cwd, which sucks. With all their winter ranges being gobbled up by A-hole humans, they need some way to survive the winter and get enough feed. I'm not sure if it's been definitively found that the feeding...

    wolf management debate

No. It absolutely is the words used and how the discussion is framed. Trying to invalidate the opposition by insulting their intelligence is not the way to get anything constructive done, especially when you put them all in the same bucket. Yes I'm sure there's a lot of idiots in that camp, just...

    wolf management debate

Wolves are the only animals I've heard of other than a wolverine in Utah, that kill way more animals than it could feasibly eat. Which is why some hunters tend to call them criminal or bloodthirsty killers. It makes sense, but I just wouldn't use that language when voicing my opinion to a wolf...

    wolf management debate

@westernarcher , regardless of the accuracy of calling wolves criminal, the statement does not help our cause because the person on the other side of that conversation can't understand what you mean. It's like you're speaking another language to them. In order to get the wolf protectors to...

    Masculinity and Caliber Choice

It's not the diameter that matters but the difference in mass. For similarly constructed bullets, say 147eldm vs 208eldm, that's 61 extra grains of bullet to fragment and do damage. I'm not advocating for one or the other, but clarifying the difference.

    Masculinity and Caliber Choice

Since I've already done and replied to this thread I'll add my 2 cents. I've got a 30-06 barrel, a 6.5cm barrel, a 308 barrel, and a 30-284ai barrel. Only 2 actions though. Currently I've got the 6.5cm installed on one. I chose it primarily because it has accurate affordable factory ammo...

    Masculinity and Caliber Choice

True, but the threads seem to be less prevalent and less likely to drag on to 20+ pages of BS, at least from what I've seen. I pretty much ignore what is new and hot with archery anyway. I've shot fixed heads and plain Jane gold tip hunter xts my entire life and don't plan on changing because I...

Yes. There's an option for that in his die selection drop down now. They're pretty pricey at $475, 1 bushing included. But if it's a simple wildcat like necking up/down it might work with the right size bushing and those are cheaper

To add to that, I bought one of EC's expander dies for my 284 chamber. My sizing die wasn't taking the base down any further than 0.502 after multiple firings. Ran it through the EC die and it goes down to 0.500. worked perfectly

    Clickers. . 7 SAUM . . Im confused

If your virgin loads didn't have clickers, and also after looking at your pictures, it's highly likely that your sizing die and chamber at the 0.200 line are not correctly dimensioned to prevent clickers with the brass you're using. Saum and other fat bodies cases are notorious for it because...

Water heater installation cost in mtn west

That's what I was thinking about the foam insulation. It came with it for that purpose so I threw it on there and also checked the heat while it was heating up and the portion that's close to the vent was cool. But yea I think it's not to code since it's single wall vent. No drain in that...

Water heater installation cost in mtn west

Ya there's not much room there for one. I was going to suspend on the right side from joists but didn't have enough hanger strap and needed water. It's just sitting on top the tank and there's a bit more space to pull it out than it looks in the picture. it can easily be moved later on

Water heater installation cost in mtn west

Done. Saved $2000 from the damned robbers. I haven't paid the permit fee yet, so I might just skip that. I think it's nearly 100% to code except the vent clearance from the floor joist but it was already installed like that previously. Don't laugh too hard at my pipe management. PEX is tough...

Exposed. I made sure to crimp all connections that were behind the wall. I only used them in a few locations where I spliced copper to PEX and didn't want to mess with sweating since I hadn't done it for a long time
