I think this is old news but Sitka is no longer offering odd sizing, 33,35, etc. What the heck - when did this happen? No one else offers between sizes I believe.
Interested in an OEM right handed T3X Superlite Tikka stock. Not the standard black stock, I have that and would like to upgrade a bit.
I created another post asking for Roughtech stocks and have been educated they are a different barrel profile. I have a T3X lite.
Let me know what you got...
I shoot Easton Axis 5mm arrows and I want to try collars to protect the front of the arrows a little better and was looking into Iron Will collars when I found Easton is offering them now. For Axis 340 spine the arrow OD is .267 and the collar ID is .271. Weight is 17 gr. Iron Will looks like...
What are your perfect fall bow (elk) hunting pants?
I like Sitka because I am between sizes. I'm currently using the pants that are exactly like the old Ascent version (can't remember name) and they are pretty good but maybe a touch baggy. Timberlines are too heavy for me for archery season...
Anyone using the weiser precision tripod setup that utilizes trekking poles and a third leg? If so do you like it? How do you think it would work with an outdoorsman panhead? I have the tracking pole adapters and I was thinking of trying the whole kit for glassing just with my binos.
I like the butler creek blizzard clear scope covers. Just got a nightforce shv 3-10x42 and recommended size is too small, next size up too big. I was going to just shim with some electrical tape, but thought I'd as here first - are there any other see through options out there for scope covers?
I think there's a thread for this somewhere but I couldn't find it, but just recently I have had OUTSTANDING customer service from Talley Manufacturing, Uknown Munitions, and Outdoorsman. I have had great CS from Outdoorsman every time I've dealt with them, they are top notch. All made in USA...
Has anyone not been able to reach a previous max velocity when switching brass? What I mean is I used to shoot nosler 180 book RL17 load at 64 gr, and got around 3000fps with WIN brass and a 24.3" barrel. I cut my barrel to 20" and got ~ 2850 with the same exact components. Now switched to ADG...
I have a 300 wsm and I have a bunch of relevant powder, bullets, and primers. Brass is a problem. I'm tired of searching high and low for brass. Even if I find some, the next time will be the same thing. So I'm thinking to hell with it, I'll get a new elk rifle. I want a short 20-22" barrel...
I am thinking about putting a red dot on my kids savage 22 rascal. I know nothing about red dots, I have never used one. The seem like they usually stick up pretty high so was after as small/low as profile one as possible. Also, inexpensive would be a plus. Anyone ever "run a rig" like this? :)
Has anyone had a great load for their rifle un-suppressed, and then cut down and suppressed? Did you have to re-work your loads at all or did you just stick with the same load?
