I've been shooting A nocks on my 5mm arrows for several years. They fit the string much better, have a slimmer profile, and are a tiny bit lighter(insignificant). I really dislike the X Nock! It is too tight on the string resulting in eventual serving damage and flattens the nocking point...
I will add one more thing: when the shop or whomever is making the tuning adjustments, YOU need to be the one shooting the bow!! It needs to be tuned to your form and grip.
Good luck!

I will be at TAC PA too. It is my second time there. Great event! Can be pretty crowded at the targets depending on your nock times. Food at the resort is so-so and expensive. This year we are staying at the resort so I'm looking forward to not giving up my parking spot every day!
I brought a...
Received my Ark Frame a few days ago and I have been getting it setup for me. Love it so far. That lumbar pad just sucks right into the small of my back and doesn't move!! I think this is the best frame I've owned. I might be selling a K4 in a few weeks! Time will tell.
What accessories are...

I'm going back to American Made Easton AXIS Match Grade with Iron Will components for this coming season. Tired of trying to get HIT inserts to stick in RIP TKO shafts and I do not like any of the half-serts that I've tested.

Cheap field points are fine as long as their weight is consistent. There will be some very long shots at TAC and a small weight variance between arrows could make a significant POI difference. I sort my finished arrows by weight and group them accordingly.

I'm going to TAC in PA also. It will be my second time there. A lot of people use the same arrows they will be hunting with in the Fall. I build 2 dozen arrows specifically for TAC type events and local 3D shoots. They are much lighter than my hunting arrows and have a flatter trajectory. It's...
Switching to 3 Q2i Raptors for this coming season. They check all the boxes for me. Durable, perfect stiffness, easy to fletch, and the right size(height) for great broadhead control!

I met JD at a TAC event last year and he was extremely approachable and friendly. He shot right along with the rest of us and seemed like the kind of guy you could drink a beer with and share a backcountry camp. I was really impressed with his down to earth personality. He earned my respect...
I've been using MBG sights for several years and never had any problems with them. I currently own 3 of their custom models with micro-adjust and they work perfectly. I don't really see a reason to change unless I get the itch to tinker after the season. Best pins in the business in my opinion...
