I don't believe in "overkill" dead is dead. If you have a certain caliber and want to use it...I say go for it. Both calibers you mention are outstanding by the way.
Just set cubbies with 160's, meat bait (beaver, m.rat, venison) skunky lure above set, stinky lure and castor in cubby. cover some ground and you should be fine.
