    Interesting test on a frame

    I'm impressed. Good for KUIU!

    Rokslide and Kuiu

Aha, the 160d cordura probably would have been shredded. Now I understand. Thanks Ryan.

    What test specifically?

    Rokslide and Kuiu

Roksliders are a bunch of dissidents and infidels. I embrace that.

Leica Geovid HD-B vs Swarovski EL Range

Awesome read! I'd like to range out to 31,000 yards, but the vectronix is a little outside of my price range. Guess my Zeiss will have to do.

    KUIU Tiburon

Not much to add to what has already been said. I did have to pay a seamstress to add a stretchy piece on the inside of both forearms. With that done, I think they will work quite well for early season hunts.

    Backpacking chair?

I bought my walkstool from the outdoorsman. It is definitely worth the weight penalty.

True to size in my opinion.

    Favorite Wind Blocking Jacket

Jetstream and/or Jetstream light. I own both and use both depending on the time of year.

Pants similar to Sitka or Core4Element

Sitka makes pants in solid colors as well. You can get the Ascent or 90% in a solid.

Anyone going to 2014 Western Hunt Expo

Please oh please don't let this board turn into the SFW argument board. I literally left another forum over the non-stop back and forth.

Please school me on layers, specifically puffy jackets

Husky, I've hunted in a Sitka primaloft Kelvin Vest for two years and used a KUIU superdown 1/4 zip tee this year. I've used them both in some pretty cold weather but wasn't terribly wet. I use a superdown hoodie for my everyday jacket right now to get me through the winter. I'm a fan of both...

    UL 3-Legged Camp Chair

I use the walkstool 55 and I really like it. I used it all season last year and will definitely use it going forward. It is made in Sweden and is definitely tough enough for extended field use. I also used the chair without the telescopic legs extended a lot more than I expected.

    Trying to pick a Hilleberg

I have the Kaitum 3 and I think it is great. I've had it in sub zero temperatures and in nasty, nasty Wyoming wind. I think the dual vestibule is worth every penny. We use the uphill vestibule for entry/exit, water and boot storage. We use the downhill vestibule for our packs and bows.

    2014 Kifaru Nomad

So I was telling my wife about the new improvements to the slick bag and watched the color drain out of her face. Yeah, I'll be calling tomorrow to see if I want to 'adjust' my X-mas order and hold off on my slick bag until the 2014 version is available.

    Camp shoes

I use the Cushe slipper. Six ounces, comfortable, cheap, and not gay (see crocs).
