    I use a Pig Saddle to hang onto my AR with a thermal on top. It's a carbon tripod not really meant to shoot from and the ballhead could be a bit stiffer, but I haven't had any issues with it. Handles the 7mm -08 just fine. You can get their entire setup (not the aluminum clamp) for under 500
