I do spot/stalk turkey hunting so definitely use my binoculars. As mentioned they can be tough to see in the tall grass. Very little calling, and more opportunistic - not “traditional” turkey hunting. Even when I’ve used a blind still want the binos for searching fields and planning for a spot...
Anybody use the turkey blades? Have some guillotines for turkeys, but based on where I'm hunting the shots are looking closer to 30-35, and not sure I have time to tune the bow for the guillotines.
Just picked up some glue in Jekyll and Hydes. Had some x impacts around and figured I’d give them a chance. Can’t practice yet due to a wrist surgery, but will finish building the arrows so I’m ready to go once doc clears me. Going to basically only use the practice heads with a few field points...
Haven’t gotten a chance to hunt with mine yet, but have a 4 pin canyon pounder that is awesome while practicing. Flip open the sight and it’s a single pin slider for an uncluttered view. Close it and you have all the pins. It’s heavy, but I’m willing to sacrifice the weight.
Broke down and ordered a three and four fletch package. If these work, can get rid of a the jig and save some “free” time. No reason they shouldn’t work…
I have been tempted to try the ez vanes. Only thing holding me back is I wanted two colors, but I don’t really enjoy fletching. I don’t dislike it, but I’d rather be doing something else. I equate it to reloading, except more annoying.
Nice! I'm working to copy you, love this idea and the results you've gotten. Just trying to get my hands on the cams as the two shops I frequent have not been willing (or able, not sure which) to get me a set... If it comes to it I can buy a supra to order replacement cams and bake that into...
I do think everyone is different. For me it was habit and enjoying the taste. I switched to a soda stream with bitters and that does it for me. Maybe once a month I am enjoying a meal and for half a second think enjoying some wine would be nice then just move on. I guess it’s also different...
I stopped 9 months ago due to some non alcohol influenced health concerns. Eating better and still not drinking though health per the doctor hasn’t improved. Overall I still don't miss it especially the time/money spent doing it. That was actually one of the bigger drivers for me was sitting...
Much appreciated! That sounds similar to the original evolve - no hump/valley just pull back to the wall and then it's gone. I wish companies would show the dynamic draw poundage, should be easy for them to measure and much easier to compare rather than "smooth" or "aggressive".
Nice! Losing 5lbs is actually good for me as I don’t want to shoot 70lbs and that’s what a lot of used ones are. How does the draw cycle compare to their older (~2017) evolve cams? Do you mind sending me the string specs?
