    North Dakota Duck/Pheasant Combo

We went with Mouse River Outfitters out of Kramer, ND for waterfowl earlier this year. Fantastic trip! It was the week before pheasant season, so we hunted sharpies and huns on our own in the afternoons. But during pheasant season they have an option to do guided pheasants in the afternoon. We...

    Light hiking boots. Advice.

I like the Crispi Attiva Mid. They are light - not what you want with a heavy pack, but I have put hundreds of miles on them with a light pack. The Gortex has held up well. I don't like the speed laces very much, but those are easy to replace. They are really light.

Can you use Sitka marsh for turkey?

Agreed. Camo pattern is not important. Anything to break up your profile. For turkey, holding still, facemask and gloves are more important than matching camo or even a specific pattern I think.

    Off-road Stroller

Looks like we got the Jogger pro 3.0 looking at the website. I think we got ours before they came out with the all terrain pro. Ours has shocks on the rear wheels and the front tire can be locked in to stay straight or can turn if left loose. It's been great for us, we use it pretty hard, and...

    Off-road Stroller

I am not sure. I’ll check with my wife. I looked at it but could not see any title anywhere on it other than BOB. I’ll see if she knows which one we have.

    Off-road Stroller

The BOB is the way to go. We use ours on gravel, trails, and around town. It is awesome! It also is really easy to wrapping blankets around a toddler and keeping them warm. We take our little one out even in pretty cold stuff because we can fold down the top and keep her covered and warm. Also...

    Snowshoes

Here's another vote for the MSR Lightning Ascents. If you are in steep stuff or do a lot of bushwacking, they are great! If you are going to be on trails or other maintained stuff with not a lot of climbing, they are probably overkill and a pair of Yukon Charlies or Sams/Costco snowshoes should...

    Montana Tagging

Yup, that’s your tag. I keep mine in a ziplock until I put it on the animal. I wrap the whole tag with electric tape with the ink side of the tag against the antler or leg so that I can show it if needed.

    Fair Share of Elk?

This is something that should be discussed before packing out unless everyone is really close friends. Having a discussion beforehand eliminates the possibility of unmet expectations and hard feelings afterward. I am always have no expectation of meat if I help packout, but have always been...

    Where to go

One of the things you’ll find is that guys tend to be very protective of their hard earned spots. The fact that you are looking for OTC will limit your choices to only a few spots. Your best bet is to find those spots, call biologists and game wardens in those areas and ask specific questions...

    Best Murino underwear out there?

I've had pretty good durability out of Black Ovis merino boxer briefs, and they are often on sale on camofire. But the fit is weird. I like the quality, but am also looking for something that fits a little better.
