I don’t bother with tape but I use those little clips every now and again, setting the correct tension is the key to it not bunching up and sewing properly, I like a flat felled seam for rip stop and it gives a real strong seam, I have used both terra 40 and 60 to good effect
I had it out last week trying it out, it held up well, can’t wait till we can travel properly so I can try it out in the highlands for a real tester, regards Wayne
I just use a long straight edge then a rotary cutter or some proper material sheers and start the cut and push along the line, some materials though need proper cutting , scissors like these are great.
I have a singer 96-49k which is a bigger machine it’s not got a walking foot but has seen multiple webbing and leather with ease it also sees rip stop very well, it’s an old machine but runs really nice, it could do with a servo upgrade but I haven’t got round to that, I would love to try a juki...

@doncarpenter I use one of them magnetic edges works a treat, my machines an old 1940's singer 96k49 industrial, she's a bit beat up but goes through webbing and leather like butter, I keep meaning to upgrade to a new servo motor for silent and really slow running but haven't yet,
The wings...
