Sightron SIII 16x42. Had this on a heavy 308 range gun for a long time. Always tracked fine. No blemishes on the glass or scope body. Has Leupold rifleman rings. Substantially better glass than the fixed SS. $300 tyd.- 204guy

Seek Outside- Why not?
No kidding, they’re not popular in my household because I always had an “off” feeling about the owner. I’m pretty average so I’d assume I’m wasn’t alone in that. Then it was all confirmed in the above mentioned thread. You want to be popular don’t alienate your potential customers. -

I’d say they probably are the vortex of boots. I’d never pay full retail for a pair it’s way to easy to find them discounted. But boots unlike binoculars wear out, so I’m good with crispis when I can get them at close out prices. Also Zamberlan and Crispi both make what 50 different types of... -
Goat rifle
Personally I’d bring the kennetreks as backup boots and find a pair of much lighter super stiff synthetic mountaineering boots that fit well. Then spend all summer trying to break them in. I used to be as rifle looney as anyone but I think it’s passed. End of the day I could list 100 things...- 204guy

What did you guys/girls do to get into Mt. Goat shape?
Aside from what’s repeated above. I’d spend some time specifically side hilling in rough terrain with a pack on. That and mental toughness. Something like a goat hunt is more mental than anything.- 204guy
