    Anyone have/had a Honda Odyssey?

Had a 2010 Ex and kept it until 2022. Loved it. Worked great for our little kids. Ran awesome. Tons of storage. At 125k, you are near timing belt so as others have said need to have that done - likley $700-$900. We got rid of our before doing that.

Planning a Mountian Lion Hunt and Have a Few Questions

Agree to much of all the above, but would add to discuss expectations of cat AHEAD of booking and planning. Some places can pressure into shooting smaller cats/females if that is all they are finding. Definitely go "on-call" if you can - success goes WAY up in fresh snow conditions including...

Ideas for elk appetizers/ finger foods?

nevadafoodies.com - tons of options there - but some rolled flautas with ground meat easy to do, or a meatball dish.

    Kuiu Sizing

Yes to what everyone has posted - good to get comfortable with a few pieces. And definitely read the reviews online - they post height and weight and many comment on fit. From that, I use as additional data to make my decision since yes, returns are a pain with them.

Transport rifle on ATV with bipod attached

I would doubt it will fit. I tried and returned multiple brand gun boots last year for a CO hunt and they would not fit a Bergara rifle with Vortex Viper PST scope…let alone a bipod…they are pretty snug. I ended up using a semi-soft case I had and bungeed it to the gun rack on my front Atv rack

    Construction 101: Change Orders

You are right to question, but if the drawings didn't show and he didn't have in his bid, he is entitled to a change order. In most residential builds and some commercial builds, you are correct and there is some padding so they usually don't do them (more paperwork and time for them to...

Mans best friend - shooting vs euthanasia

Yikes. Interesting discussion. When you are separated from the moment, I guess I understand the question and logic about the topic. But when it is time, I can't imagine having the last moment be that - might be something that is more traumatic than you think. I ask a lot of my bird dogs...

    Antler Darkening (opinions wanted)

Agree - they look great! I have shout couple bucks/bulls in the rain that were much darker in the pics than they were after they dried out, so pretty sure that is what you are seeing. Coffee treatment looks great. I do have some antler stain that I have used on sheds, but it gets they really...

    Pigeons for Dog Training

Where you at in WY? My source of feral birds is trapping or catching grain bin birds here in western NE and some handy-down homing pigeons from other training buds. Some pigeon places will also sell you a breeding pair where you can create your own birds in time - especially for homers. I...

    Cougar: 308 or 243 ?

45 long colt or .357 mag are easy to pack and meet Wyomings overall cartridge length requirements. I packed a crossbow and wanted to do it that way, but the cat I ended up taking was straight up and didn't leave much of a hole to thread a bolt through so switched to .45.

It's perfect - have downed plenty with 85-grain game kings in my .243. 350-400 yds have been farthest.

Heated gloves/mitts for previously frostbit hands?

I am following this one, as have the same issue. A year ago things went bad waterfowling, and I went to try and save a dog and ended up needing getting saved myself. With the help of some rescue personnel, I made it but barely in time. However, my hands are shot, just like you descriibe. I...

    Intact dog protection

Bag balm - usually after the fact. But ahead of time it can help. Usually plenty of time to heal after a good hunt in those conditions - feel for the fellers though

    What’s in your upland vest?

Small roll of TP, small baggie of cornstarch/talc, thin liner gloves and a pair of hemostats for porkie quills or cactus spines. I try to keep it simple...these vets lately have turned into packs and upland is still a simple affair based on walkin, and I carry a lot of water for the dog so try...

    WY unit 100 roads

All depends on how rough you want to be on your truck. Many of the trails you can do fine on with a truck, but they get rough, and the sage will be buffing the sides. In that unit, I enjoy an ATV better than beating my truck, and you can cover ground quicker.

    NEBRASKA Turkeys

All of it can be good. And our springs can have snowstorms and such that throw things up in the air. But in a normal year, birds have a gobbling peek a week before the shotgun opener (makes for some fun youth hunts and bow hunts); however, they are more "henned up" in general and you are...
