I would have no idea what blank it started with. I doubt there is any way to know as they (to my understanding) build their own barrels which are highly thought of in the competitive communtiy

I looked on their web site but did not see how they mount. Since it is a R8, I assume to the barrel? Does it use the same dovetails as the Blaser mount or something else?
Wow...you jump on a thread where a guy asks a question that is pretty open-ended. He received good feedback from several members yet you want to disparage a very reputable dealer that has been around a long time.
"Take all recommendations with a grain of salt...." Really? Of course a dealer...
Usually when something won't sell it is because it is a very specific item with a very small user group or the price of the used piece is not a sufficient discount from new.
I use a tripod extensively, both for the spotting scope and to shoot off. I use a two-vets tripod with an ARCA clamp. Arca attachment on the spotter and a rail on my rifle.
Love LC's! I have had 40, 80, a couple of 100's and 200's. They are built like tanks, but do require maintenance. Don't pay as much attention to miles as to maintenance records.
