Anyone else notice the new Kimber Mountain Ascent models showing up in the usual places? I'm not sure what to make of the "Caza" and "Skyfall." (I didn't realize Daniel Craig preferred CRF.) Coated metal and unfluted barrels, but seemingly similar (same?) weights as the original model. I like...
I recently acquired a can of Nutristore southwestern style pork and rice and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. At $7.50 a meal (double the listed serving for 660 calories), plus $0.74 for a resealable Wallaby mylar pouch (which comes with labels and O2 absorbers) and $0.15 for a packet of...
I bought this new 11/2020. Used it for a single day of late archery and has sat untouched since. Never hauled meat and I don't see any dirt, scuffs, or other signs of use. Includes the tags. Size large. $250 tyd; check, money order, or Paypal F&F (unless buyer pays the fees).
As my backcountry habit has grown, so too has my exploration of lightweight, cost effective, satisfying end of day meals. The less pricey commercial options are lacking in nutrition and flavor (though they still can do the job), while the better tasting, more filling options can be costly for...
New in the package Talley one-inch low rings for a Kimber 8400. Part 930840. (I meant to order a pair for an 84L and didn't realize my mistake until too late.)
$25 tyd lower 48. Payment via Venmo, Paypal (add 3% if not f&f), or check or money order with a wait for it to clear.
I'm looking to sell my Swarovski 15x56 SLC NEU binos (original box and paperwork included, stud installed), along with a new version Swaro XL field bag, a Swaro bino mount, and a Swaro doubler. The glass on the binos is in excellent condition. As shown in the photo, the black finish on the...
Last winter I grabbed a Sitka Flash on sale because I liked the packable protection against light precipitation it offered. Fast forward to last weekend, and it was all I had to protect me through six hours of steady rain that had been forecast as light snow. Remarkably, it kept me dry.
OMMV...
I bought my first pair of binos, Minox BL 10x42 BRs, ten years ago. I've been very happy with them, but am now looking to upgrade. I'm struggling, however, to get a sense of how much improvement I'll see in different classes of binos, because I don't have easy access to retailers. Can anyone...
This morning I was surprised to see UPS deliver a vestibule for my Cabela's Alaknak tent. Because I didn't order it, I thought, "Hmm, late Father's Day gift. My wife sure loves me," and hauled it inside. An hour later my wife yells across the house, "You seriously bought more camping stuff?" I...
I was scrolling through my photo album and saw these pics I took years ago of red stag mounts in the palace in Sintra, Portgual. Nice animals, but the 1700s taxidermy reminds me of whitetails I saw hanging in rural southern Indiana bars.
Anyone else got pics of mounts predating the 20th century?
