There is a ton of great advice and insight in this thread. As others have said there are many different areas of nursing you can move into and different work schedules s well. One of the most overlooked aspects of nursing is the growth opportunities that are available. If you are willing to...
I have a pair of Tibets and they are flat out awesome boots. I've been looking at the Tibet Superwarms for an insulated option. No Superwarms on Campsaver but I found them and other models for 25% off on Moosejaw.
If you are in a tent for 2nd rifle you will want a wood stove. Whether you are in a wall tent or a backpacking tent, some sort of wood stove will make a massive difference in comfort. Even if it won't burn through the whole night.
To find bears in the fall, find their food. They are in a period of hyperphasia and packing in as many calories as they can to prepare for winter. Acorns or berries are good sources to focus on. I'll be bear hunting in Colorado in a few weeks and I'll be focused on berry patches and an elk...
I normally wear a 10.5 and my feet are slightlty on the wider side. My Tibets are 10.5 and they fit perfect. I really love them. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, they are fantastic on steep, uneven ground.
If nighttime temps are in the 30s or below, the meat will be more than fine for several days hanging in a shaded spot in some game bags. If you put it in a cooler, you'll need a fairly large cooler to fit an entire elk.
I harvested a bull in a mandatory CWD unit last year. CPW will ask that you pack out the entire head because many people can cut out the salivary glands instead of the lymph nodes. I called CPW and they confirmed that bringing the entire head so they can remove the lymph nodes is requested...

I'm a solo (mostly) backpack hunter and got an inreach mini at the request of my wife. It was worth it for the piece of mind it gives her alone. I text her every night to let her know I made it back to camp for the night and the SOS is there in case of an emergency. It could save your life...
I used a Benchmade Steep Country this year and it went through an entire bull elk with ease. The edge retention was great and I loved the feel and grip. Great knife.
I called CPW yesterday and was told that it is acceptable to bring in only lymph nodes. The woman did caution that it is very easy to get the wrong tissue so be careful. The video on the CPW site shows that they are mroe easily discernable if you cross section them.
JAX in Broomfield has Lowas and a few other brands. I got a pair of Tibets there this weekend. @1shotgear in Golden had Hanwag and Kenetrek I believe, plus a Rokslide discount. I would call to check available sizes.
