Budget appears to be a large factor in the decision here.
May I suggest that you look at used options?
I feel you could buy a used canvas solution for truck camping that would have more sq-ft, head room, etc.
And then look at a smaller used tipi for backcountry pack-in use.
I have no less than...
Not much I can say... had my Galaxy S5 for nearly 2yrs.
I put it in a lifeproof case on day one and while the case looks like it's seen better days the phone is like new. It's gone for more than one swim while fishing or duck hunting, and I've even taken a few underwater pics... albeit...
I spent 10 days in a 12x12 Alaknak, winter, 18" of snow....major condensation issues, eve with a wood stove.
I much prefer my canvas 14x14 Beckel TT.
Zero condensation issues.

Generally speaking, I'm there to hunt and ilthe more time I spend in the woods the better my odds.
That said, I would not worry about what others think/say/feel.

I used to suffer buck fever real bad.
But after years of killing stuff it slowly went away.
However I still get dry mouth when focused on a stalk. Sips of water help there. .. and jolly ranches... he, he.
At time of shot, I get tunnel vison...auditory functions shut down, heart beat slows but...
I use a razor sharp Gerber Parang for duck blind building. I can whack through 2" with a single blow. I know oak is much harder though... but just another option.
The shears might be better... particularly if it's a ratcheting model with long handles.
A folding pruning saw might also be an...
I haven't kept a single one.
Well there was this one beautiful 325lb boar, but the taxi let the hide spoil. Still kinda soar about that one. It was a really cool brown phase with black leggings.
Just not a trophy collector.

Update....
Well I used one for a couple nights w/ an air-core mattress down to 48F..... results..
Shorts & cotton t-shirt for sleep wear... no socks.
First night started out fairly warm and got down into mid 50F's. Slept fine all night, but did find myself curling up around 3-4am.
Second night...
From what I hear the metal Katadyn Pocket is the king of filters, but at $350+ it's too rich for most of us.
I choose to go cheap and use the $20 Sawyer Mini in gravity mode or inline.

Rucks & trucks.... ok, I don't consider them the same.
First, for trucks a twin Coleman air mattress and and a Coleman Big & Tall 'Big Game' 0-20F from Bi-Mart will work for a base/truck bed roll... $100 total.
For the ruck, size & weight are of more importance.
For Summer, I roll with a...
First... diesel all the way.
The power and range are just to big a difference.
Second, I don't know where you live, but I think you can do better $30-40k used.
My uncle just bought an 05 Dodge 2500 with ~100kmiles and 5.9L Cummins and it ran about $22k. My buddy just bought an 04 2500 with...
Other options:
Disc-O-Bed bunks.... kinda spendy, but space saving for kids.
Slumberjack cots.
Cabela's/Teton XXL cots (price ceck both.)
If you buy cheap Walmart cots, add the straps like the Slumberjack. Really improves robustless long term.
I have the one each of the Cabela's and Tetons...
