    Jeep Gladiator - good hunting rig?

    Gladiator should be fine as a hunting rig, I hunt out of a 2002 Wrangler. Was going to say that the advantage of a truck with a topper is that you can sleep in the back somewhat comfortably, than again I recline the front seat in my Wrangler and sleep in that fairly well.

    Except that bigger rounds can induce some serious flinching and bad shooting habits in new shooters. I would go the opposite direction. Learn to shoot something that isn't going to beat the shit out of them when they practice and not induce bad habits. A well placed shot is better than a shit...

    I got a Howa Carbon Stalker 1500 in .308 and a Burris XTR 3 for under $3k. Shoots great, have no complaints.

    Ft Collins, way more expensive.. Colorado semi-auto weapons ban on the way. Wyoming, home prices in Cheyenne are probably a third of prices in Ft Collins, no state income tax.
