Wow… That’s the same load I came up with for my model 700 270 over thirty years ago, still use it to this day.
As Wrench mentioned this load not only shoots good but it hits things very hard, I’m using 130 gr Nosler BT’s. Don’t get caught up in the BC and heavy bullet craze, the 270 was preforms...

The zero drop thing on the Altra’s I can do without also.
When I look at the end of my foot it’s not rounded with the longest point being in the middle like my boot.... the toe end of my foot does not look like the toe end of my boot.
I’m sure the boot makers have a reason, just not sure what...
Last year was reading about and following a bunch of threw hikers, seems to be the preferred shoe in this community Is the Altra. The best thing they liked about them is the toe box, it actually looks like the shape of your foot were other shoes or boots do not.

I was out in Southpark this morning, all the peaks in Quandary’s direction were solid white from tree line up.
Would guess 6 to 10 inches of snow up there, is suppose to warm up this week though.
Was wondering if anyone has experience carrying a rifle in the Kifaru Sherman Pocket hanging off the back of your pack.
Do you feel the butt of the rifle hangs to low... does it hit the back of your legs at all when hiking?
