Good evening everyone
So I live in the third worst state for deer hunting (you guessed it, Vermont!), and I don’t know if anyone else who lives in VT has noticed a downtrend in the population or sign of deer in Vermont. I’m in WMU o which usually has a pretty good density in terms of Vermont...
Anyone know where someone could get a 757 Mauser? I read an article in fur fish and game and I’m interested in one after reading.
any input is appreciated.
So last night at 11:50 PM, my sister woke me up telling me that she heard “a chorus of screams.” I told her it was probably a fisher and to go to bed. I played a fisher scream and barred owl shriek to her, and she said none of them matched. She described it as short spurts of screams every 5...
Getting excited for turkeys! Can’t wait for that first gobble with that classic spring smell in the morning with the hermit thrush singing in the background. Turkey season is awesome. Can’t wait.
Well I went with my dad to archery hunt for the first time. I stunk pretty badly, and still feel bad about it. My first opportunity: A nice six pointer. Rushed shot, shot too far back.
2nd opportunity: a good buck came below the stand but my stupid phone fell out of my pocket and clanged...
Do you guys have any tips on how to get tighter groups? This is my second year bowhunting, however, my groups have suffered. My groups are all 4-5 inches apart, and I have little time until bow season. My dad does not want me to bowhunt unless I have proficient enough groupings at 20-25...
This year is my last year for youth season deer/turkey as I turned 15 in April. My Turkey youth hunt went amazing. While I only shot a jake, the time I spent with my Dad was priceless. First, I went up to a friends to hunt some turkeys who were either going to my younger sister and her...
Last year I had a great hunt, bagging a pretty good buck for VT. He was 190 dressed, and had 10 points. The age came back at 5 1/2 years old. I know this is probably tiny for a mid west/west hunter, but it is a pretty good VT buck. Sadly, this is my last youth season coming up.
Hey, I live in Vermont where you cannot bait bears. I don't have access to dogs, and I was interested in calling bears. Last year, I got lucky with a good little bear, but I aimed too high, and never found him after finding pinpricks of blood 450-500 yards later. Anything on how to call in bears?
