    Cube up the back straps (1/2”x1”ish). Throw them in a bowl with flour, Johnny seasoning and whatever additional seasoning you want. Fry it for a few mins on each side in a pan with about a 1/2” Worcestershire sauce and oil.

    Few questions. What state(s) are we putting eastern MT deer hunting on a pedestal against? Resident or nonresident? If nonresident, which state? Mature is pretty subjective from one to another. Can you post up the mature ones?

    Are you assuming your muzzle velocity?Also, barnes shows a BC for the 190 LRX at .541 vs your listed .499.

    Out of what you listed it’s hard to argue with choosing a 270. I’d add a 25-06 to the list to consider as well. It’s a hammer on deer and antelope. Also taken bear with it.

    I’m liking seeing some MT regions propose change to the mule deer season structure. I’m hoping the proposed season changes (LE, last 3 weeks of rifle LE, private land only doe tags, etc) in Region 4 become the norm for region 6 and 7 as well.

    TBT seems to leave an easy enough blood trail. That’s why I recommended it as an alternate choice to his already fine bullet. We can agree on shot placement @amassi and let the thread continue.

    Yea you’re right. Accubonds and TBTs haven’t killed my bears just fine 🤷🏼‍♂️ They aren’t going to pencil through like I’d be worried about with coppers and shooting bears where described. I told him I thought his bullet of choice was fine for bear. Reread the post.

    Always should be just forward of the middle of middle as stated right here. I’ve had buddies shooting big 30 cals loose bears because of trying to shoulder shoot them and being to far forward.
