    Tikka 6.5 creedmore loads

140 ELDM hornady factory match is all I’ve ever fed any of my tikkas that I’ve had. Never had a reason to even try anything else with how they’ve shot. I would bet the 143 would shoot equally as well though, I would start with either of those if I was you.

    Utah License Trick

Should be able to. That’s what I do for my wife, hers expired on the 22nd. I’m waiting until they’ve released tag numbers the first week of April and then I’ll put us all in before the 22nd so I can get my tags and get her points.

    Caes Trimmers

Little crow gunworks world’s finest trimmer. I just have a cheap ryobi cordless drill with one chucked up 100% of the time. Stupid fast, stupid consistent, stupid easy to use. Can’t recommend it enough.

Sig Zulu 6 IS Bino vs Vortex UHD 10x42 for chest binos

What @JGRaider said above. Plus, if you’re archery hunting you won’t want the 12 or 16x in the timber. Wide field of view would be my recommendation, and the IS binos don’t have that. The Sig’s are neat, but I’d recommend 10’s or 8’s for what you are looking to do. Those UHD 10’s would be great...

    Pursuit with Cliff Gray

Listened to the version on Cliff’s podcast yesterday, it was a great conversation to be a part of. The 2 of you do a great job of drawing lines in the sand and sharing your positions/opinions without getting too in-your-face with the politics. Bravo to you both!

    Maven B2 11x45 Bino Harness

If you buy the Kuiu you’ll want the bigger size. The Kuiu will wear great on your chest even at the larger size, but ditto on the useless front zipper pocket. I’m convinced the only reason they did it was so they could add “front zipper pocket” to their list of marketing material. I took mine to...

Hanwag Makra Light GTX vs Crispi Lapponia II GTX

No experience owning Hanwags, but my favorite boot I’ve ever worn is the Lapponia. I’ve packed some heavy loads and put lots of miles in steep terrain and the soft flex has never been a problem. I tried Hanwags on last summer before buying my Lapponia 2’s and I didn’t even have to lace up the...

    Long Range Scope Help

The glass in any of the optics you’re considering will never limit your ability to take and make shots. I personally like the color through Maven glass, but the SHV and Trijicon both have solid glass.

    Laponia discontinued

Gary’s shoes in Richfield Utah is the “Crispi approved” resoler. If your boots are still within the warranty window, it’s best to use him. They only use Crispi’s soles and processes, but the reviews are good. Here’s a review of the process: https://www.rokslide.com/crispi-resole-review/...

    Zeiss v4 or Nighforce shv?

If a nightforce is doable from a financial standpoint, it’s never the wrong answer.

    Boot break in

Lace them up and wear them. That’s how I’ve broken in every pair of boots I’ve ever bought. As a side note, I’ve tried to like Kennetreks over the years and just can’t. They are the entirely wrong shape for my foot, plus the sole feels like strapping a 2x4 to the bottom of my foot. But my foot...

    Tikka Woes

This, 1000% this. This is why we love Tikkas here. They’re not magic, they’re not record setting, they’re not engineering marvels. They just. Flat. Work. In an era where there’s no material accuracy difference between a Savage Axis II and a full custom, accuracy is no longer the differentiator...
