    forloh softshell

I only have the first lite catalyst to compare the forloh soft shell. I will agree it is certainly more of a hybrid. I usually have a light baselayer long sleeve under the soft shells so I like the forloh much better. The catalyst is okay at warmth but is terrible if there is any wind. The wind...

    Exo gear sale?

I'm the opposite. I have both the 4800 and 6400 and I like the layout of the 6400 better. I guess that is why they have 2 different designs.

    Exo gear sale?

I got mine on the last black Friday sale. Also, their customer service is top-notch. I emailed them about a broken belt clip. My dog chewed it and cracked it. I emailed asking how much for a replacement since it was my fault it was broken. They sent me a new one at no charge and even covered...

    FORLOH

I have them and really like them....but I haven't tested them yet. I am also doing second season in Colorado and these are what I will be using. They are well built and seem very solid though. I paid a similar price for my Firstlite which is crappy quality in comparison to the Forloh.

    forloh softshell

I do own the softshell. All I can compare to though is Firstlite Catalyst softshell. The Forloh is leaps and bounds nicer and better built than Firstlite. Forloh's is pretty waterproof also from what I have been able to test.

    American Made Clothing

All of my clothing this year (minus boots) are made in the USA. Forloh for most of the items, Kifaru lost parka pants, and Darn Tough socks.

    FORLOH

I don't have any Stone Glacier gear at all so I am not sure. I would say for the thickness and weight, the half zip is warm. I have worn it into the mid 40's while active and was good. It is good against smell also and good in warmer weather at not getting too hot.

    FORLOH

Email them for a quicker response. I got an answer back on weight in less than an hour. I can also weigh my half zip tonight if you don't have a weight yet. I also wear a medium. I do not have the rain jacket yet though.

    FORLOH

I couldn't turn down that discount. All my other Forloh gear is top notch.

    Knees

I'm in a similar situation as you but a little younger at 34. I can feel my knees but no pain. I have noticed it once starting BJJ about 6 months ago. I started training for the mountains with a heavy pack in the last few months and haven't noticed it getting "worse".

    FORLOH

I got the pants a few weeks ago and they are very nice! The quality per $ is way higher than my first lite pants. I just ordered the puffy jacket and baselayer bottoms. Now I will just need to get the softshell and I will be pretty set also.

    FORLOH

@RGMissoula On the website, it says the ThermoNeutral Down Jacket is a mid-layer. I am assuming if I buy the Down in medium and the softshell in medium, the softshell would fit correctly over the down jacket?

    Executive Gun Control Orders?

Reading through some of these comments makes me remember why so many gun people think hunters are fuds. Growing up not hunting (nobody in my family did) but being into guns, many view hunters as fuds. Seems to many in here, being anti-gun is fine because they aren't coming for your bow or bolt...

    FORLOH

Are you planning on making a puffy that is lighter with a hood for backpacking similar to Stone Glacier Grumman? I am on the fence on a puffy for this winter. I just purchased the half-zip (amazing quality) and will pick up the pants before this season. I really want to see what products you...

    FORLOH

I received my half-zip yesterday. First, the quality is very impressive. The sewing on it is impressive compared to both my First Lite and Kuiu gear. Since I haven't had it long, I haven't hunted in it yet. Planning on a long hike today with it and turkey hunting this spring.

    FORLOH

I emailed them about the weight of the puffy. They responded very quickly. It is heavier than the others companies lighter weight puffy but in line with the heavier weight puffys/heavy jacket. A large Furloh puffy is 20oz.

    FORLOH

The price and a new company always makes me question. I did order the half-zip that arrives today so I can check out the quality first hand and use it for spring turkey here before ordering more. I ideally want to get the puffy, pants, and the softshell.

    FORLOH

I found this on a search about the company here. I am in need of a puffy jacket for this year's hunt. I really want to buy made in the USA or at least not manufactured in China or similar. Have you had a chance to go out and use the gear? I am on the fence about whether to buy from Forloh as...
