Binoc cases??
Keep rain, snow, and dust off them. Especially handy when you are belly crawling or laid down to shoot. I ran with just a harness for a long time and would typically wear it under my jacket. That worked too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Swarovski Binos for Still Hunting

What to expect in Nebraska Mid November
That explains it quite well. Just check the weather the week before and that will help narrow things up. Most of the time it will be 20-50 degrees that time of year(I hunt there every November). Nothing worse than being cold so pack plenty! -

Kuiu or Sitka
I have all Kuiu and a cousin that runs all Sitka. If the price is the same I would lean towards Sitka for stand hunting. Favorite Elk, black bear, antelope, and mule deer cartridge.
28N to 300RUM - Gives you a little more room for error. 270s etc. have killed tons of elk but shot placement and range become increasingly more important. I have never shot something and then said, "I wish I had used a smaller round".
