    Grizzly Country Questions

I'm hoping I do get to spend time watching them from a distance. Would be a neat experience for an east coaster like myself. I've spent a great deal of time here watching a lot of black bears in my lifetime and it always amazes me, for as big as they are, how quiet they are most of the time...

    Grizzly Country Questions

Thanks fellas. Im beyond excited to get out there in the mountains. I'm just trying to learn more about grizz behavior and what I can do to minimize the chances for a situation around them. I remember my uncle telling me about walking up a trail one day with a couple other guys and a bear...

    Grizzly Country Questions

Hey guys. I am finally headed west this fall for my first ever western hunt. I will be hunting Region F general in Wyoming for mule deer. I'll be going there with my uncle, who's hunted in and around this area, almost every year for 30 years, so I am confident in his knowledge and abilities...

    Packable puffy pants for Whitetails

I will give these a look. I know most have mentioned to wear them under whatever pants I wear, but that really isn't the best option for me. That would entail me taking off my pants after hiking in, which would be a PITA. I will absolutely look at the Kuiu's for sure. Thank you.

    Packable puffy pants for Whitetails

Thanks for the reply. Believe it or not, I get by with just heavy merino base layers and Stratus pants all year, even in teens and single digits. But I've noticed in the last two years, my legs are getting cold more easily. I was just thinking a touch of insulation on my legs would be huge...

    Packable puffy pants for Whitetails

This might be an odd thread/question. I'm on the east coast and hunt the appalachians. Some of us pack in a long ways to get to stand sites. We don't have the altitude obviously, but we sure have the steepness. Packing a lot of weight on your back to get to these spots leads to you being a...

    WTS Slumberjack Bounty 2.0

I have a basically brand new Bounty 2.0 I'm looking to sell. No tears, rips, holes, or stains. All buckles and straps are perfect. I bought and never used it. Only reason I'm selling is that I got a different pack that I like better. This thing is built like a tank and would make a great...

Crispi's.... anyone else have this problem?

They definitely are quite a bit stiffer than anything I have ever owned but I found my feet love that. They are incredibly stable and agile. I just felt like I slipped and slid quite a bit in them. Maybe I walk goofy....

Crispi's.... anyone else have this problem?

Definitely not an old pair. They were purchased brand new in May from a local dealer who had to order in my size from Crispi. I don't know. These things just don't feel as stable in the snow as my Irish setters do. It was night and day different imo. I love these boots outside of this...

Crispi's.... anyone else have this problem?

I bought a pair of Crispi Nevadas for my elk hunt this year. Break in was a breeze and they are absolutely the most comfortable boot I ever owned. They made my feet a little achey, but I attribute that into not being used to mountain hunting out west. Nothing that was intolerable, just knew I...
