The .410 is increasing becoming a popular sub gauge being used in turkey hunting. The gun is light and with the right ammo packs a nice punch. I have found the ultimate ammo for the .410, the new Hevi 18 TSS Turkey. These shells are incredibly dense loads at 18g/cc and will hit like a ton of...
I have not seen or tried ANYTHING that can compare to the new Hevi 18 Turkey TSS shotgun shells.
They pattern great and retain so much energy at such long ranges. I cannot imagine not using
them. The expense is not evenly remotely a factor when you consider how FEW shells you use
during the...
The smaller gauge shotguns greatly benefit from shotgun shells like Hevi 18 TSS turkey from Hevishot for a variety of reasons namely knockdown power and shot accuracy. Loads like Hevi 18 and Hevishot Mangum Blend offer the sub gauge hunters the ability to take birds at extended ranges that they...
Hough,
What you will see with Hevishot is that you can use a smaller SHOT size and be very effective. I personally hunt predominately puddle ducks in rice and soybean fields.
I prefer anything from 2's to 4's in 3" shells. We have people in our club that use Hevishot 3" 6's and absolutely wear...
I would never advocate shooting rusty shotgun shells. To me, your shotgun shells are one of the most critical tools of your whole hunting trip. Comparing the total cost to hunt, your shells are one of the LEAST expensive pieces of your total cost. Your shells are vital to what you are able to...
I would definitely vote for an autoloader. Benelli and Beretta are both AWESOME guns.
Combine a great shotgun with some Hevi X, Hevishot Duck, HeviMetal, Hevi Bismuth and you are in business. I would spend some time patterning your shotgun.
Not a fan. I spend a great deal of time each fall/winter in duck blinds. I am very particular about my gear which includes my shotgun and shotgun shells. I have seemingly tried most everything available and I will say again. Nothing that I have tried is better (or frankly even close) to the...
Bismuth is a great answer for older shotguns. I have been using Hevi-Bismuth Upland in a vintage 20 gauge that I was given. The 5 shot is deadly on pheasants and it great to able to use such a classic shotgun again.
Honestly, I am able to shot with the 12 gauge boys thanks to the Hevi-Bismuth.
