    Rifle shooting ranges/areas in south Kansas City/eastern KS area

    Anyone know of public rifle ranges (or state lands with rifle ranges) in south KC, preferably the KS side? I know there is one by Hillsdale dam, but it’s only open on the weekends and is generally packed (given the limited number of public ranges capable of longer shooting). thanks all!

    Newbie from eastern KS

    Brennan from eastern KS. Hunt whitetails throughout the fall, with a trip or two out west each year. Mix in small game, birds, and fishing when I can.     Lots of good rain and wind gear out there but I’m put off by how loud a lot of it is. I realize that while it’s raining, the noise doesn’t matter that much, but I’m consider about shortly after a rain, not having the time to remove the rain gear, that the noise would be prohibitive on a close-in...
