What do you say to anti-hunters?

Unfortunately only people I know very well know that I hunt. Given the community I live in and the nature of the business I own I would lose many customers if I was open about my hunting activities. The responsibility I have to my family and to my employees is more important than me being very...

    Investing for income?

I am not a novice when it comes to this, I do have a financial advisor and I will be speaking with him this week. I can sort out the viable from the not in a million years responses. I am interested to hear what hard working smart people have done to generate income from lump sum investments for...

    Guiding & Making a Living

I enjoyed reading the replies. There is nothing I could offer that hasn't already been said. If you don't own the outfitting business and have the involvement of your family in the business I don't think you would ever see them.

    Investing for income?

There seems to be a number of people here with strong financial experience. If you were investing money to generate income where would you do it? Annuities, Stocks with strong dividend histories, rental or commercial real estate? I will say I have been a landlord and I don't enjoy it.

I also have a pair of sitka pants that are very smooth and don't pick up burrs. I like to wear fleece...

Any Sleepers in the Merino world?

I think what I will do is wait for sales of a number of the brands that have been mentioned here and jump on them then. I did go to the LL Bean website and they do have a sale going on. It seems like very often you find that a company has sold out of the most popular sizes.

Any Sleepers in the Merino world?

I’m thinking about a set of Smart Wool at the 250 weight and a set of First Lite, I’m thinking Kiln bottom and Furnace top. I think Furnace bottoms may be to hot for extended walking or going up anything steep.

Any Sleepers in the Merino world?

Have any of you experienced a quality merino product for tops and bottoms that is more reasonable then the high end brands that receive so much attention here?
