ND deer rifle, then possibly back to MT for general rifle (struck out in bow season) if I punch my tags at home. December off, then south for aoudad and hogs in January.
Worth noting the BP “site wide” sale running now does *not* include the outdoor line. I’m looking forward to trying some pieces, but I’ll need 25-30% off before I pull the trigger.
Someone mentioned the grid fleece being much less than Sitka, but it looks a lot like my Eddie Bauer and Mtn Ops...
I don’t care what you’re shooting, if the question is “should I chop and suppress?” The answer is always yes.
Efficiency is mostly myth. More powder = more faster.
I actually came out very well on the 25-06 and .17 HMR, didn’t lose a dime on either. It was more than just barrels, it was stocks and streamlining as well.
The PRC I’m selling is a Bergara Premier Mountain 2.0, and I’m for sure going to get hosed on it, but once again it isn’t just the barrel...
I just ordered a RRS 180mm USR that I’ll hang 1.5” or so off the end, it should work out about perfect. The SRS 4” will probably land on a factory Tikka stock where I’m less concerned with maximizing available rail space.
I considered doing exactly what you did with the pic section, but...
I don’t have any actual shorties at the moment, but I’m going through a lot of change ups. Selling my 24” 6.5 PRC, sold my 24” 25-06 and 25” .17 HMR, bought a 20” 6.5 CM to go along with my 20” 308, wearing 7” and 9” cans respectively, and I bought a 20” T1X I’m about to order a can for...
I think you’ll like the Bravo. I have two, the other has an enclosed forend and full-length arca rail. My hands don’t like it at all in even mildly cold temps. It sucks the warmth away.
I’m really fond of FDE and may have went that route if it were a stainless barrel and action, but I figured...
Short Action Precision. I have a bunch, so when it wears out I’ll just slap a new one on the velcro haha.
I’ve been interested in trying a Hoptic or KRG, but I’ve already got cheap SAPs on everything.
A reference point since I got my suppressor and scope caps Friday, and this is “done” for now: 11.6# with an empty mag. I could easily drop a pound by switching to an SWFA 3-9 in Seekins lows w/o caps.
I probably won’t lug it up any mountains, but for all of my in-state hunting this will do...
I’ve never seen one in the wild, and every single person who’s seen mine has asked what it was. Companies like Vortex and NF are probably selling as many scopes in a month as SWFA did in a year.
