    How does chopping a barrel alter velocity nodes?

    I know chopping the barrel will reduce muzzle velocity, but does that shift the nodes, require you to find completely new nodes, or does the same grains of powder yield another node, but just at that lower velocity? My guess is that you need to re-establish a new node because of barrel...

    bolt modifications for 270wsm to 6.8 Western

    If the 6.8 Western is a shortened 270wsm catridge, does anything need to be done to the bolt other than rebarreling a 270wsm donor gun? does the bolt need to be longer, or is all that taken care of when a smith chambers the new barrel? Sorry, newb to rebarreling.
