    I shoot Axis 300 @ 29 carbon to carbon, brass HIT 75gr chopped to 50gr, Heat vanes and with 100gr point they come in at 500gr or close enough for government work. Bowtech BT 31 @70# they shoot better than me. Also I found for me the 4 vane Heat vanes shoot in the same group as my 3 fletched...

Nice thing is, drop the two 34 pair off at Wallyworld customer service and ordered 2 more pair in 36/32. Easy! Also picked up Kuhl pants, side zips, stretch at Franks Great...

    What did you do today to get ready for archery season?

    Hiked, took my new used bow to a pro and had it tuned, timed and tweeked (actually a few days ago). Tip! Take your bow in now and not in the fall, the shop isn't generally busy.

    Tried some other boots and never got a comfortable fit, until I tried Zamberlan 981s. Used their measurement guide, added 1/2 size because I also hunt n.e. Michigan and like thick socks. Today was 14 degrees out with 20 mph gusts for their maiden voyage of 30 minutes trudging in knee deep...

    Will try the guides but wanted to get into the 7-8” tall boots like you but I have bad ankles and plates and screws on the right leg. Ankle support and not getting rock hits especially on my upper right ankle area is big.

    Your only option might be to get a regular model 7 and have the barrel shortened and threaded by a smith. In my years of messing with guns I have never come across a model 7 like you describe
