What have you guys used on your lever guns for red dots? I have tried a few but they all raised the line of sight so much that I loose my cheek position.
I've gone out for him twice and I could hear him circling me. Went out and put up a stand behind his "track" so I can pit my wife on the barrel and pick him off when he circles her haha wish me luck.
Little guy just let me pick him up! Tbh he has been hanging out with my good friend for un known reasons??? It has never been fed by humans it just likes our company!
With all the talk about "what 30cal bullet for elk" or " will a mono work better than a lead core" I think it's time we actually discussed how important shot placement is with different types of bullets.
I am a firm believer in putting monos (solid copper or cast lead) into bone ensure...
This is what I currently have on hand. Selling for msrp and locals only. I'm not trying to be rude to the rest of you I just know how hard it is for us to locate good hunting bullets up here. If 1mo goes by and I have any left I will start shipping.
Btw I'm making zero money on these so please...
I do this with everything I reload just for my knowledge but I found this interesting. No chanel in the lead and the tip is hollow like many match bullets. I will say this copper jacket was pretty hard at first compared to honady and berger.
My brain won't stop thinking about what could be achieved by cutting down a 300wm case to 308 spec??
Has it been done before? I know the win mag gates hate for the rim but imo this has to be done or attempted. What are your thoughts?
Just found a guy with lots of lead. Everything will be retail price. Just trying to help him out and all of you. Post up what your looking for and I will contact you on Sunday for pickup
Poor accuracy is normally a you problem not the bow.
Any quality arrow will work to kill Elk.
Any quality broad head will kill Elk.
Speed doesn't matter as much as Chad tells you it does.
3 or 4 vanes just choose one and go with it.
F.O.C works but don't get stuck on it.
Rant over

i have had a pair of kenetrek for 2yrs now and i really like them but i have found my knees hurt like hell after 2-3days of hiking in them. my thought is because they are stiff my knee is required to twist/bend instead of my foot/ankle. does any one have a soft boot that holds up to abuse?
I'm a new guy so take it easy on me!
I have seen the long range hunting fad really pick up steam in the last 2yrs and I always ask myself "why?" . Are these animals that hard to stock? Are there physical limitations of the hunter? Or is it just a "I shot my deer at 800yrds" bragging rights thing??
Couldn't be happier with our results. The moose my wife shot was a proxy for her father. My daughters and mine were ours.
My daughter and wife both used a 18in 7mm-08 and heart punch both. They went 10yrds and dropped. The accuracy, low recoil, light weight, performance of this caliber has...
