I never see this on anyone’s list, but I’d find some singles of the sizes your bow sight needs in Allen wrenches and tuck them away in your pocket. A couple different sizes will weigh less than an ounce or two if that at all and could save your hunt if you drop or hit your bow hard enough...
If you want very nice glass in a 10x, check out the Athlon Chronus G2. A lot of folks won’t give them the time of day, but I also own Swaro ELs and those Athlons are pretty dang close as far as clarity, they are just heavy. Get a spotting scope for the long range stuff, the 15x from a truck...
That deer is definitely older, pretty flat nose and his back is drooping, and appears to have a nice rack. I think all the mass you are seeing is both antlers doubled up, but it’s still pretty early to tell. Keep the camera up, he will be around. Hopefully it’s not just his summer range.
Dude, 7 miles is a bad idea. We did it last year. Hike in was a piece of cake, hiking around for 6 days was a piece of cake. We had to split in a hurry due to weather and the hike out was rough. I can’t imagine having to do it with 100+ lbs of meat on your back 4 times after you’ve already...
