I drove up to my place in Oklahoma yesterday, and it was surprisingly warm and very windy. I gambled on where to set up, and it paid off. I was about 400 yards northwest at the opposite end of a grove of trees along the river from my camera where I’ve been seeing turkeys, because I know they...
I’ve been using Spartans for over 10 years (since the 2g days), and they haven’t given me any reason to look at other brands. I have 4 running at my place in Oklahoma with external batteries and solar panels, and between them, they have sent 103,000 pictures.

I use a 300# All Season gravity feeder at my place here in TX to keep from feeding pigs, and it works fine.
I feed protein at my place in Oklahoma and use a Boss Buck. I had to put a timer on it, because the deer were eating 1000# in 12 days.

NW Oklahoma has been bad dry the last two springs, and there haven’t been any morels. It finally rained at my place last week, but I won’t be back up...
My method is pretty simple. I walk miles of deer trails with my “shed eyes” on.
I picked up 27 on my March trip to my place in Oklahoma and three more a couple weeks ago.
This kind of surprises me, because I’ve killed a bunch of deer and pigs with both 9.3x62 and 9.3x74r with much less devastating results. I use 285 gr SP and 250 gr Accubond bullets.
I’ve been handloading for my rifles for 20 years and have never trimmed a case, and I still punch itty bitty groups on paper and kill every animal I shoot at.
I’ve used Boss Buck protein feeders since 2017, and I’ve never had one clog up. I’ve also got an All Season protein feeder, and my only complaint with it is that “lips” on the feeder tubes aren’t tall enough. The deer waste more feed out of it than the BB feeders.
