I’ve got a single cab truck with both a tool box and a camper shell. It becoming a problem trying to access stuff in the tool box since I have to crawl all the way in. I’m looking for a better solution for gear storage while still having the camper shell. The truck bed drawers seem promising but...
I’ve been a fixed guy for any outdoor adventure but there’s quite a few folding knives catered for hunting. Havalon, Outdoor Edge, classics Buck 110 just to name a few. Is there any benefit to them over a fixed blade or any cons?
What’s everyone’s MOA with their factory (or close to) Tikka. I was shooting at exactly 1” before I switched to a HIgh Desert Rifle Works bottom metal torqued to 35# front and rear. It now shoots .73” with cheap American Whitetail 30-06 150gr. Can’t wait get my hands on some premium stuff.
Ya looked round on eBay and the like. I guess I’m looking for someone who just has one laying around that they don’t have future plans for. If no one has one it’s not the end of the world. Thank you for the the link.
I have an Tikka T3 30-06 that I’m looking to just swap the old T3 stock for a T3X stock to take advantage of the vertical grip module. Not really looking to spend much but can pay for the shipping.
Does anyone use a training rifle to reserve higher priced hunting ammo and to help focus on shooting fundamentals? I’ve always shot a couple rounds out of my Savage Mark II just to get focused but curious if anyone else does anything similar. For those who do how similar is your training rifle...
Does anyone use a monocular for anything? I feel like it would be useful for just a backup, truck, or hiking optic. Just something small just in case you’d like to look at something. Even for coyote hunting I’d feel it would have a purpose to scan an open area without to much movement. Probably...
I have an Tikka T3 30-06 with the original plastic bolt shroud and have been wanting to replace it for some time now. Been looking at the factory shroud and the Mountain Tactical Gen 3. I really doubt it makes a difference which way I go but is there any reason to get one over the other?
1. Worksharp sharpener with strop
2. Leather belt
3. Build one. A natural leather strap glue onto whatever material you want and add stropping compound. That sage wood gear one looks cool and would be easy to diy.
Has anyone figured out a way to shorten the length of pull on a Howa 1500 with a Hogue stock. I really need a whole inch off but I’ll take what I can get.
What binos would you recommend for someone on a budget? The absolute max I will spend is $350 and the Maven C.1’s would be my choice but I still need to get a spotting scope and a better rangefinder so a lower price the better. I do like Vortex and thought about the Crossfire HD’s or the...
I would go with a simple BDC reticle. I would be comfortable taking a 400 yard shot any day and in the right conditions a 500 yard shot. I personally use Vortex and enjoy the simplicity of their BDC. I sight in so the the hash marks line up closest to were I want. For example I sight in my 30-06...
