While I cannot speak directly about the Super Grade, I have purchased 3 current production Mod 70s in the past 2/3 years. 2-Extreme Weather & 1-Featherweight.
The FWT is a safe queen, but I did scope and sight it in. Shoots incredibly well.
The 2 Extreme Weather rifles are in the hands of...
When on the hunt, I always feel like it is incredibly important to do everything I can to ethically/morally/legally fill the tag
A few years later, whether I harvested an animal or not, the lasting memory of the adventure is my most treasured possession. The kill is such a minimal part of it...
I leave for the show in the morning.

I like how you think!
The new production Model 70s should also be on your list.
Excellent fit, feel, finish. Incredible production guns in my opinion.
An Extreme Weather in your choice of caliber would be the gun of a lifetime

With a pair of Swaro EL Range in my chest...

I have born witness to a dump truck full of big game taken with those bullets, out of a variety of cartridges. Hard to argue with success.

Interesting topic
Reminds me of the Remington 700 EtronX from the early 2000's (?)
No firing pin or traditional mechanical trigger.
Specialized ammo, Ignited by a electronic circuit powered by a 9V battery
From a Popular Mechanics published Dec 6 2004

The OP has stated that he is not really considering Nebraska, but I want to clear up the statements made on Nonresident tag availability in my fair state.
Drastic changes in the NR tag allotment for Nebraska started in 2023
As I interpret the 2023 NE Big Game Guide
