My leg was had spasms and I couldn't move my toes anymore when mine got bad. I have always had lower back pain but that put it on another level and I wasn't going to wait. The microdiscectomy was a game changer. I think its a better option than fusing discs.
I'm 35 now, had surgery to correct basically this exact issue 2.5 years ago. The surgery (microdiscectomy) was minimally invasive and I was only restricted (10lbs) for 6 weeks. The first week was kind of rough with limited mobility but pain wasn't bad. I would recommend it and have to others who...
For the isntall, rent a self-propelled trencher. It will make the isntall easier/cleaner. Like others have said, SDR would work just fine and will be much cheaper than PVC. I imagine 4" would would but 6" would be safe.
Overtime I would understand. The OBOZ were new this season and only had a couple miles on them before this hunt. The Beartooth are a couple years old with moderate use. The fist year I had them I hunted in 6" of snow and they got wet then too.
Outside the obvious of rubber muck style boots, are waterproof boots that have a Goretex/sympatex/Bdry liner truly waterproof?
Here's my reasoning for the question:
Hunted the CO MZ season last week. Thursday afternoon and all day Friday we got rain. Wasn't a downpour but as you know, walking...

Never hunted the valentine area but have hunted Bessey the last 6 years. We hunt the trees and find a few whitetail but never really hunted the hills. We typically don't see many muley's but I know some people do find them...
I used it last October for CO first rifle but no snow. From my research before I bought it seemed like they hold up really well to snow. I'm sure like anything they have limits but its a strong tent.
What problems were you seeing? I've had zero issues and most in the groups that I'm in voice the same. I do see the occasional issue with shift solenoid but that would be the same part on the foreman and probably others in the Honda lineup so not unique to the 500/520.
The shifting is also...
Have you considered a small 50" SXS? Honda has the P500 and the P520. Can go everywhere a 4wheeler can and is much more comfortable. Add a roof and windshield and be better protected from the elements too.
Something like this:
Any update with this machine? I have a Pioneer 520 but considering going with something more sporty for more comfortable riding and a higher highway speeds. Thanks!
Another vote for Kodiak. I have the 10x14 VX so that it can be used in warm weather and have extra venting. Quick to put up and can handle the elements.
