    Thank you! Does the guide lid work well in combination with the stryker, or do you prefer the Sherman? I love the belt pouches on the outside of the pack to make odds and ends more readily available.

    What the closest face-to-face encounters you've had with animals while hunting?

    Lots of close encounters with wild hogs around here. I killed one with a pocket knife and one with a flounder gig when I was younger and dumber. Have nearly stepped on them in the dark many times hiking in. Most hair raising was settling into a stand of cane before daylight as a makeshift ground...

    Heart is great and should grind well. Waterfowl hearts are a special treat! Grill or fry them whole, but slice open so they don't pop when liquid inside hits grease.

    Any Swamp Hunters Here...

    Hunt quite a bit in river bottoms and swamps. It can be tough in high water conditions, but it can make the animals much easier to find and pattern. It really is much easier than hunting big woods that have few if any natural funnels.

    “Huntress” charged with several wildlife crimes

    The videographer we use cut his teeth freelancing for hunting shows. The stories are horrendous. The amount of unethical and sometimes illegal behavior that goes into these tv shows is mind blowing. It's all ego driven, too, because very few actually make any money at it.
