Not super close compared to you archery guys but I snuck into under 90 yards directly in the face of this buck. I thought for sure I was busted when I saw him but when I pulled up the binos his eyes were closed haha.

November brings the rut but also can bring cold windy days (not always but likely). Also like 406huntermt mentioned that gumbo is nasty. It may be snowy or frozen in the morning but melt into a muddy mess during the day. Could definitely strand you if you aren’t thinking about it. Best of luck...
Interesting to hear that some other folks are seeing waits over a year. I did put 50% of the cost down upfront. I will have to give him a check in call soon and see if there is any update.
Is anyone else encountering long lead times on taxidermy? I dropped off my mule deer cape in the fall of 2021 and still nothing. It’s a reputable taxidermist but I guess the tannery that he sends the capes to has been backed up ever since Covid. Anyone else in the same boat?
Sounds like you have him patterned well! Have you ever seen him on the road? Seems like if he crossed it too much he would already be dead. Oh and post pics once you get him 👍🏻
I used a HP Windows laptop in college and didn’t have any issues. However now I use a MacBook for work and it’s lasted much longer than my Windows. Regarding the MS Office suite I would just recommend using Google Docs/Sheets/Slides/etc unless you need the office products for some reason.
I’ve fished the middle fork of the Flathead numerous times as a kid (both spin and fly) and always managed to get some smaller cutthroats. I haven’t fished Flathead lake in quite some time but I think the lake trout fishing can be good.
